Onalee O’Conner is a person of modest dreams. As she goes through life, she wants to discover the perfect blueberry muffin recipe, learn how to juggle, and just once, find a dead body. Since fifty is the new thirty, Onalee is a twenty-something commercial real estate appraiser.

In, “Hot Property,” Onalee is called in to appraise an unpopular condominium project only to find the dead body of its developer, Jonathon Richmond. Following the mandates set forth in all of the amateur detective books, Onalee sets forth to solve the crime. Along the way, another body pops up along with many follies, foibles and far too many peanut butter cookies.

Real estate appraiser and amateur sleuth Onalee O’Conner falls in love . That is, she falls in love with her rescued standard poodle. Entering the world of dogs and dog walkers, she soon finds that not all dog owners are good people. One of the worst of the no-goodniks to cross paths and butt heads with Onalee is Gerald Pembower.

When Mr. Pembower is found flat as a fallen devil’s food cake in his own kitchen, several of Onalee’s new friends are prime suspects. And once again, Onalee and her gal-pal Marti are compelled to bring the evil-doer to justice.

Another sizzling Northern Michigan murder mystery. The action takes place in and around Petoskey and Mackinac Island one recent snowy winter. Besides amateur sleuth and real estate appraiser Onalee O’Conner and her faithful dog Dashiell, the cast of characters includes BFF Marti, a couple of hedge fund billionaires, assorted local residents (the Chosen Frozen who stick around year-round), and of course some adorable dogs. Sadly, one unfortunate fellow doesn’t make it through the “dead season.” Instead he keels over in a local fudge shop. Could it really be possible that peanut butter fudge is lethal?
