I have started to do some exercises using a resistance band. As I pulled the band out, stretching it taut, then relaxing, Leroy watched. His head swiveled back and forth following the movement of the band. What is he thinking? I wondered.
Several hours later, Leroy met up with his girlfriend a cute hunting dog. They wrestled and chased each other, although usually Leroy chased his girl. After a few minutes they rested, looking at each other. “So I’ve got to ask you,” began Leroy. “Do they ever start doing weird stuff at your house?”
“Weird? Like what?”
“I’ve just got to hope that she’s not losing her mind. I love her, but she’s also my meal ticket and I’m concerned. Most days are pretty much the same, but then all of a sudden she started doing something that doesn’t seem normal to me.”
“Really?” Flora, the girlfriend is intrigued.
“Yeah. She has this long stretchy thing and she pulls it, over and over. And over. What’s the point? It’s unsettling.”
“Wow. Nope, never saw anything like that. Let’s wrestle some more.”
